The first thing you can do with PDF Reader is, as the name so adequately points out, read PDF files. You can open and read any PDF file you want with this application. The second thing you can do with the application is edit the PDF file you opened. PDF Reader has a lot of editing functions to offer: crop, draw, highlight, add picture, and more. And last but not least, the third thing you can do with PDF Reader is print out PDF files.

The PDF Reader installation file weighs in at a very lightweight 3.6Mb. Run this file and you will be presented with a prompt that asks you to choose the installation directory and pick if you want a shortcut on the desktop and in the Start menu. Click on Next and the installation will be done; click on OK in the following prompt and you’ll be able to start using the application.

The upper part of the interface presents numerous buttons that link to all the features and functions the application has to offer. What you see in the lower part depends on the tab you’re on. When you launch the application, you’re on the Open PDF File tab. When you locate and open a PDF file, you will move on to the Edit tab. Overall, the interface is not difficult to understand, event if the multitude of buttons may give it a cluttered feel.

As mentioned above, PDF Reader’s functionality can be broken down into three categories:
Read PDF files – from the Open PDF File tab locate the PDF file you want to read. Open it and you will be able to read it.
Edit PDF files – edit text, edit images, highlight keywords, mirror, flip, rotate, crop, make annotations, add text, add images, and several other editing functions are offered by the application. The big drawback here is that the application will not save the edited PDF files.
Print PDF files – not only can you print out PDF files, you can also acquire PDFs from a scanner.

PDF Reader can prove to be a very handy tool for anyone who works with PDF files.

Pros

Installing PDF Reader takes very little time. The interface is not difficult to figure out. You can use PDF Reader to view, edit and print PDF files. PDF Reader is a free application.

Cons

The application does not let you save an edited PDF file. The interface has a cluttered feel.
